Conserve electricity. Hydro delivery charges are high (more than the electricity). A/C is available at $7/night (cost-recovery basis).
Take short showers. We draw water from a well (not the lake) for three cottages.
All watercraft are shared. Return them to the dock/waterfront where found.
Safety kits are provided for all watercraft and must be carried.
Guests are responsible for all cushions at the waterfront and cottage. Place them in the deck boxes provided before rain.
No exterior lights overnight. We are in a dark sky preserve.
Turn off the satellite receiver when not in use.
Dogs cannot run loose or be left unattended.
Walk dogs into the bush to relieve themselves.
Do not feed our cats or allow them into your cottage.
No car alarms, please.
Put only three things in the toilet: #1, #2, and toilet paper.
Inform the host immediately if something breaks or does not work 100%.
Attend open fires at all times. Check for fire bans and douse fires when finished.
Use the compost pail for all fruit and vegetable waste. Throw the waste in the bush before departing. Extra bags are provided with the cleaning supplies in the closet.
Clean the BBQ after using.
Guests must take all garbage with them (or pay the host). We can look after recyclables and "empties" (donate to Humane Societies).
Cleaning is included, but please wash, dry, and put away all dishes, and restore cottage furnishings to their original condition.
